Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research is pleased to welcome new faculty to UIC. We offer a variety of training throughout the year which may be of interest to new faculty. This includes training required for research involving human subjects and animals, responsible conduct of research, conflict of interest and more. Complete information about education and training, both on-line and in-person, can be found on our website at http://research.uic.edu/education-training.
In addition to these trainings, the Office of Research Services, which handles all pre-award activities, offers open labs every Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 – 3:00 pm to address any question you may have about the sponsored project process at UIC. These sessions are fully customizable to your needs and designed to provide one-on-one assistance on a range of topics. To RSVP for an ORS Open Lab, please visit http://research.uic.edu/openlab.
New faculty may also be interested in scheduling a time to meet with staff from Research Development Services (RDS). RDS can assist new faculty in finding funding opportunities that may be of interest. To schedule a meeting, please email email@example.com.
