Interfolio at UIC

Administrators/staff, faculty and reviewers are the three parties being trained to use Interfolio at UIC.

In the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs (OVPFA), we are committed to continuously improving how we support faculty and the administrators who serve them. One area that requires significant enhancement is the way we collect, store, and use faculty data, as well as the processes for various faculty reviews and reporting that depend on this data.

Currently, these processes are often inefficient, consuming valuable time that could otherwise be devoted to scholarly work or administrative responsibilities. Improving access to well-organized data will also create opportunities for faculty to apply for grants, submit journal articles, pursue awards, and engage in other professional activities.

To address these challenges, we have partnered with Interfolio, a leading academic faculty management and higher education technology firm, to help us turn these goals into reality.

The work to implement Interfolio at UIC is underway, with the goal of launching the system for Academic Year 2026–27. Interfolio will provide a centralized platform to collect and store faculty data and streamline key review processes, including Promotion & Tenure, Annual Evaluations of Faculty, and other reviews and reporting. UIC will implement two primary modules:

This initiative reflects our commitment to faculty excellence and success, aligning with our strategic priorities to enhance faculty support and overall experience, improve academic processes, and reduce administrative burden.

As the project progresses, this page will provide updates, resources, and guidance. Faculty and administrators should continue using existing systems and processes for AY 2025-26 reviews and evaluations.
