P&T Mentoring Workshops

The Office for Faculty Affairs is pleased to offer P&T Mentoring Workshops each spring. These annual workshops are open to faculty from all parts of the university seeking promotion and/or tenure. It is also open to Unit Executive Officers (UEOs), Associate Deans, mentors, senior faculty serving as P&T Preparers, and others involved in the P&T process. Each workshop encompasses all disciplines and faculty from any discipline may attend any session. A workshop for underrepresented faculty is also provided.

The workshops are designed to help faculty members in their plans to seek promotion and/or tenure, and will include a review of the relevant promotion and tenure processes. They will cover topics including the Mid-Probationary Review, preparing the dossier, research expectations, teaching, and service. The workshops will offer a valuable opportunity to dialogue with experienced faculty and receive information and advice for potential candidates seeking to position themselves for successful promotion and tenure. Speakers include the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, members of the University P&T Committee, as well as, other senior faculty members.
