UIC aspires to be the nation’s leading urban, public research university. The Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs is dedicated to identifying and supporting faculty through the honorifics process.
Honorific awards include research or scholarship awards, teaching awards, prestigious fellowships, and memberships in honor societies and the national academies. Several of the many benefits of honorific awards include:

Each year, we recognize outstanding faculty achievements at the Faculty Awards Ceremony and Reception. To ensure that we celebrate the accomplishments of as many faculty as possible, we are accepting submissions of prestigious and highly prestigious awards on an ongoing basis.
If you receive a prestigious external award between the dates of August 1, 2024, and July 31, 2025, we ask that you complete the submission form below by Friday, September 26, 2025. The form will re-open before the Spring 2025 semester.
